If you’re here, there’s a good chance that you know how overwhelming it can feel to take control of your health. I know, because I’ve been there. And…I work on it everyday! I’ve made it a lifestyle over the years. Hence the name: A Timeless Lifestyle.
I started leading a healthy lifestyle after the birth of my 1st. child in 1988. I found myself neglecting my own well-being after the birth of my daughter. Concentrating on her needs was the most important thing to me! But…I found that I was neglecting myself and my health. I was unhappy with how I felt and looked…so…I decided to start working out more which eventually led me to changing my eating habits also. Reading and researching every day on what I should and shouldn’t be putting in my body led me to become fit and healthy! The progress and the transformation I made was motivating. For the next 10 years I became a self taught health guru. I concentrated on clean, organic, food and stayed away from sugar and processed foods. I dabbled in veganism, vegetarianism and raw cooking.
In 2004 I had my first yoga class, I remember feeling an immediate shift in my body and mind. I fell in love with yoga because of how good it made me feel – more open, aware, and strong – both physically and mentally. My yoga practice became the catalyst for another major shift in my life as I soon realized that it’s not just the choice of food that keeps you healthy…it’s all of it: Mind/ Body and Spirit.
I decided to pursue a career path more closely aligned with my passion for health, wellness, and connecting with others. Endlessly curious about functional and holistic nutrition, I made the decision to go back to school and enrolled in Alternative Medicine at Everglades University in Boca Raton , FL. I studied over 100 dietary theories and contemporary health issues, learning from nutrition experts, integrative health researchers, and functional medicine doctors. I gained a deep understanding of functional nutrition, the mind-body connection, and the healing power of whole foods along with Aromatherapy, Feng Shui and Ayurveda. I graduated in 2012 with a BA in Alternative Medicine and today, I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach (CHHC)
After practicing yoga for4 years, I became a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200) in 2008. I completed my yoga teacher training at Seven Petal in Washington Mills, NY where I studied meditation, asana, alignment, anatomy, yoga philosophy and history, and the art of intelligent sequencing.
My teaching style is Vinyasa Flow. With a focus on dynamic fluidity and conscious movement, my classes are designed to leave you feeling both energized and calm.
